We are seeking a passionate, knowledgeable and motivated Science Teacher to join an Outstanding secondary school in Peterborough from January. This is a superb opportunity to become part of a highly successful Science department with excellent facilities, strong technician support and a reputation for outstanding outcomes at GCSE and A-Level.
You will deliver engaging and well-planned Science lessons across KS3–KS4, with potential opportunities to teach KS5 depending on your experience and specialism. You will be responsible for preparing high-quality lessons, assessing student progress, contributing to curriculum development and playing an active role in departmental and whole-school initiatives.

Experience and Qualifications
Degree in a Science subject
PGCE / QTS
Ability to teach KS3–KS4 Science (KS5 desirable but not essential)
Excellent subject knowledge and strong classroom practice
Confidence in delivering both theoretical and practical science, including safe use of equipment and adherence to health & safety guidelines
Ability to plan differentiated lessons that support and challenge students of varying abilities
Commitment to raising achievement and inspiring scientific thinking, curiosity and problem-solving
A reflective and proactive approach to teaching, with a willingness to engage in continuous improvement and professional learning
Salary
Paid in line with MPS/UPS, dependent on experience.
