The Opportunity & Role Profile
This leading independent school requires an experienced Finance Officer to manage the day-to-day financial operations. The role demands meticulous accuracy and responsibility for fee billing, payroll preparation, managing ledgers, and providing support to the Bursar.
Core Responsibilities & Duties Scope
Financial Controller: Managing purchase and sales ledgers, processing invoices, and ensuring smooth transaction flows.
Fee Management: Handling parent/guardian fee billing, processing payments, and managing direct debits.
Reporting & Auditing: Assisting the Bursar with month-end procedures, budget monitoring, and preparation for annual audits.
Compensation & Benefits
Essential Requirements: Proven experience in a finance role, ideally within an educational or charity setting. Strong skills in accountancy software (e.g., SAGE, QuickBooks).
Salary: Highly competitive salary compensated on the school's independent pay scale (expected to be £32,000 - £40,000 per annum).
