The Opportunity & Role Profile
This busy primary school requires an efficient and friendly School Secretary/Administrator to manage the main office. The role is the crucial first point of contact for parents and visitors, involving high-level administrative support to the Headteacher and leadership team.
Core Responsibilities & Duties Scope
Reception Lead: Managing the main reception, handling telephone calls, and dealing with enquiries from parents, staff, and visitors.
Administrative Anchor: Maintaining pupil records, managing school correspondence, and coordinating meeting schedules.
Safeguarding Support: Assisting with visitor procedures, managing attendance data, and ensuring compliance with office safeguarding protocols.
Compensation & Benefits
Essential Requirements: Proven experience in an administrative or school office environment, excellent organizational and communication skills, and proficiency in school management software (e.g., SIMS).
Salary: Competitive salary paid on the local government scale (expected to be £23,000 – £27,000 per annum).
