A respected independent college in Nottingham is looking to appoint a PE Teacher from January 2026. The college welcomes applications from teachers with strong subject knowledge and a passion for sport, fitness, and wellbeing.

This selective independent college educates around 650 students, specialising in GCSE and A-Level programmes. It is known for outstanding teaching, exceptional exam results, and a close-knit community atmosphere.
The PE department benefits from modern fitness suites, sports halls, and access to high-quality external facilities. Students study PE at both GCSE and A-Level, with many going on to university courses in Sports Science, Physiotherapy, and coaching-related degrees.
The college also runs enrichment programmes such as fitness clubs, sports teams, leadership awards, and health and wellbeing workshops.
Experience and Qualifications
Strong academic background in PE/Sport Science
Ability to teach GCSE and A-Level PE confidently
QTS/PGCE desirable but not mandatory in independent settings
Passion for sport, fitness, and promoting healthy lifestyles
Strong organisation, communication, and pastoral skills
Salary
Salary will be based on the independent school/college scale, above MPS/UPS.
