A successful independent school in Slough is seeking to appoint a PE Teacher from January 2026. This is an outstanding opportunity for someone passionate about sport, fitness, and high-quality teaching in a well-resourced school.

School Information

This independent school educates 800 pupils aged 11–18 and is known for excellent pastoral support, academic rigour, and high levels of participation in sport. The school is easily accessible from London, Windsor, Maidenhead, and Uxbridge.

The PE department benefits from sports halls, games pitches, tennis courts, specialist fitness areas, and seasonal access to high-quality local facilities. Students regularly achieve recognition at county and national level.

The school places strong emphasis on extra-curricular involvement and expects all PE teachers to contribute to after-school practices, weekend fixtures, and seasonal sports programmes.

Experience and Qualifications

  • Strong academic or coaching background in PE/Sport

  • Ability to teach practical and theoretical PE

  • QTS/PGCE preferred but not essential in independent settings

  • Expertise in coaching one or more major sports

  • Positive, energetic, and committed to delivering high-quality PE

Salary

Salary is on the independent school scale, above national teacher pay.
