Year 4 Teacher | Slough
A forward-thinking primary school in Slough is seeking an ambitious Year 4 Teacher to join their Key Stage 2 phase from January 2026. The Year 4 Teacher will plan and teach well-sequenced units in English and mathematics, lead guided-reading and problem-solving lessons, and run targeted small-group support. A full handover and induction will be provided before January 2026, with the Year 4 Teacher in post from January 2026.

• Year 4 Teacher required to work within a collaborative primary school in Slough
• Year 4 Teacher to join a motivated KS2 team delivering a knowledge-rich curriculum
The Year 4 Teacher will use assessment to identify priorities, adapt planning for varied learners and work with TAs to scaffold learning. The Year 4 Teacher will contribute to moderation, curriculum development and whole-school enrichment in Slough. We welcome Year 4 Teacher candidates who are reflective, data-aware and committed to excellent outcomes.
Responsibilities
Plan and deliver sequenced Year 4 lessons that build vocabulary, fluency and reasoning.
Lead small-group tuition, monitor its impact and refine intervention approaches.
Collaborate with colleagues on curriculum mapping and moderation across Slough.
Maintain accurate assessment records and communicate next steps to parents.
Support enrichment and transition activities linked to Year 4 learning.
Person specification
Qualified Teacher Status with clear KS2 experience and strong Year 4 practice.
Excellent planning, assessment and behaviour-management skills.
Committed to starting January 2026 and to attending induction before January 2026.
