We are recruiting a committed Year 3 Teacher to teach in a friendly Slough school. The Year 3 Teacher post starts January 2026, with induction and handover scheduled before January 2026 so the Year 3 Teacher can begin the spring term confident and prepared. The Year 3 Teacher will teach a class in Slough, delivering sequenced units in reading, writing and mathematics while leading guided-reading groups and targeted interventions.

About the role
As a Year 3 Teacher you will plan progressive sequences that develop vocabulary, comprehension and mathematical reasoning. The Year 3 Teacher will deliver high-quality guided-reading sessions, support transition from KS1 and run booster groups to close gaps in attainment. The Year 3 Teacher will collaborate with subject leads across Slough to develop strong curriculum practice and share effective approaches with colleagues.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver engaging Year 3 lessons that secure long-term learning and application.

• Lead guided-reading and small-group maths sessions to consolidate key skills.

• Use assessment to inform differentiated planning and to track Year 3 progress.

• Work with support staff to provide targeted Year 3 interventions and scaffolded tasks.

• Communicate progress to parents and participate in moderation and reporting across Slough.

Person specification

• Qualified teacher with recent KS2 experience and demonstrable Year 3 outcomes.

• Strong subject knowledge in lower KS2 and confident behaviour-management.

• Reflective, collaborative and committed to the Slough school community; available to start January 2026.
