A successful secondary school in Salisbury is looking to appoint a Maths Teacher (ECT) from January 2026. They offer exceptional mentoring, weekly coaching, and a reduced timetable to ensure ECTs thrive.

This mixed 11–18 secondary school, rated ‘Outstanding’, educates approximately 1,200 students and is well regarded across Wiltshire for its strong academic performance, warm ethos, and excellent leadership. It is well-connected to Amesbury, Andover, and the surrounding villages.

The Maths department is forward-thinking, collaborative, and well-resourced with modern technologies and high-quality textbooks. GCSE outcomes are consistently well above the national average, and the school offers a popular A-Level Maths and Further Maths programme.

Experience and Qualifications

  • PGCE/QTS or equivalent (ECT applicants encouraged)

  • Strong subject knowledge and passion for teaching Maths

  • Ability to teach KS3–KS4 with KS5 training available

  • Strong communication skills and high expectations for behaviour and progress

Salary

The salary for this Maths Teacher (ECT) position will be paid to scale on the MPS.
