Nurturing KS1 Instructor – Shepherd’s Bush, West London

Job Description

A lively, inclusive school in Shepherd’s Bush is looking for a nurturing KS1 Instructor to support children’s academic, social, and emotional development. The school has a welcoming atmosphere, a strong pastoral ethos, and a teaching team committed to child-centred learning. You will join a collaborative staff who work hard to ensure that every pupil feels valued and inspired.

Requirements

  • QTS or equivalent UK teaching qualification

  • A caring, patient approach to behaviour and learning

  • Experience supporting children with a range of abilities

  • Strong assessment and planning skills

  • Ability to build positive relationships with pupils and families

Salary

£34,514 – £45,000 per annum

What the Job Entails

  • Planning and delivering engaging KS1 lessons

  • Supporting pupils with additional needs, including SEN and EAL

  • Using formative assessment to tailor teaching

  • Promoting emotional well-being and resilience in pupils

  • Working closely with TAs and the pastoral team

  • Creating an inclusive and nurturing classroom environment

  • Supporting whole-school activities, assemblies, and trips
