Job Description

A warm, inclusive, and community-oriented primary school in Fulham is searching for an experienced EYFS SEN Teaching Assistant to support a child in Reception with speech delay, mild SEMH (social, emotional and mental health) needs, and difficulties with self-regulation.

Your responsibilities will include providing daily emotional and pastoral support, delivering targeted speech and language activities, modelling language during play, and helping the child engage positively with peers. You will assist with building routines, supporting transitions, and implementing calm-down strategies during periods of dysregulation.

The school emphasises nurturing relationships, emotional safety, and child-led learning. You will be working closely with the SENCO, class teacher, and external agencies to deliver interventions and monitor progress. The role requires patience, warmth, consistent boundaries, and an ability to create a supportive environment where the child feels valued and understood.
