Design Technology ECT – Essex

We are seeking an innovative, enthusiastic and skilled Design Technology Teacher to join an Outstanding secondary school in Essex from January. This is a fantastic opportunity for a DT specialist to deliver high-quality teaching across KS3–KS4, with potential for KS5 depending on experience.

The successful candidate will join a dynamic DT department equipped with modern workshops, CAD/CAM facilities, 3D printers, laser cutters and excellent technician support. You will contribute to a curriculum that encourages creativity, problem-solving and practical skills development.

Experience and Qualifications

  • Degree in DT, Product Design, Engineering or related subject

  • PGCE / QTS

  • Experience teaching DT to KS3–KS4

  • Strong practical and workshop skills with excellent H&S awareness

  • Ability to develop engaging, hands-on learning experiences

Salary

Paid to scale in line with MPS/UPS.
