Design Technology Teacher – Southend-on-Sea

We are seeking a motivated, creative and skilled Design Technology Teacher to join an Outstanding secondary school in Southend-on-Sea from January. This is an excellent opportunity for a DT specialist to deliver high-quality, practical and design-focused lessons across KS3, KS4 and potentially KS5.

The successful candidate will join a well-resourced DT department with modern workshops, CAD/CAM equipment, 3D printers, laser cutters and strong technician support. The school is committed to innovation, high standards and providing an enriching learning experience for students.

Experience and Qualifications

  • DT, Product Design or Engineering degree

  • PGCE / QTS

  • Experience teaching KS3–KS4 (KS5 desirable)

  • Strong workshop and safety awareness

  • Ability to deliver creative, practical and theory-based lessons

Salary

Paid in line with MPS/UPS.
