Drama Teacher (ECT) – Market Harborough, Leicestershire – January 2026

A lively, community-focused 11–18 secondary school in Market Harborough is looking to appoint an enthusiastic Drama ECT from January 2026.

The Role

You’ll teach Drama across KS3–KS4, developing students’ confidence, creativity and performance skills. The department offers opportunities to contribute to annual productions, showcase evenings, theatre visits and workshops with visiting practitioners.

The School

The school holds a Good Ofsted rating and is widely recognised for its strong Performing Arts provision. Facilities include a black-box drama studio, lighting rigs, rehearsal rooms and performance spaces that allow staff and students to bring imaginative ideas to life.

ECT Support

  • Weekly mentor meetings and structured induction

  • Paired teaching and supported practical lessons

  • Training on managing practical group work and performance assessment
