English Teacher – Specialist Role in Inclusion and Adapted Curriculum Delivery – Guernsey

Guernsey's specialist secondary school for students with moderate to complex learning difficulties, is seeking a patient and creative English Teacher from January 2026.

  • English Teacher required from January 2026.

  • Guernsey – Special Secondary School (SEN).

  • Seeking a specialist to deliver an adapted English curriculum with a focus on inclusion and practical learning.

You will teach English across KS3 and KS4, tailoring the curriculum to meet the specific needs and EHCP targets of students with diverse learning difficulties. The role requires creativity in resource development and a strong focus on practical, engaging lessons.

Experience and Qualifications

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is desirable; significant experience in SEN/Inclusion is essential.

  • Relevant degree in English or a related field.

  • Proven ability to adapt and differentiate the curriculum for students with moderate to complex learning difficulties.

  • Strong skills in behaviour management, pastoral care, and working with complex needs.
