The Opportunity & School Profile

This high-achieving college seeks an experienced Biology Teacher to join its Science faculty. The school requires a knowledgeable specialist who can deliver challenging content, focusing on complex biological theory and advanced laboratory application to drive high attainment in Biology up to A-Level/IB.

Core Responsibilities & Teaching Scope

  • Life Scientist: Instructing Biology across Key Stage 4 and Sixth Form (A-Level/IB), with some KS3 Science.
  • Driving Attainment: Ensuring robust practical laboratory skills, advanced experimental technique, and strong theoretical understanding.
  • Mentoring: Encouraging participation in biological science clubs and competitions.

  • Essential Requirements: Relevant Degree in Biology or a related field and QTS/PGCE. Experience teaching KS5 Biology is essential.
