We are seeking a committed, practical and enthusiastic Design Technology ECT to join an Outstanding mainstream secondary school in Essex. This is a superb opportunity for a Newly Qualified DT Teacher seeking strong professional support and high-quality induction within a high-performing department.

As a Design Technology Teacher, you will teach dynamic and practical lessons across KS3, KS4 and KS5, encouraging creativity, technical skill and confidence in the workshop. The department is well equipped with modern machinery, 3D printers, CAD/CAM tools and dedicated technician support.

Experience and Qualifications

  • Degree in Design Technology, Product Design, Engineering or similar

  • PGCE with QTS

  • Training to teach DT at KS3/4 with potential for KS5

  • Strong workshop organisation and safety understanding

  • Passion for hands-on learning and design innovation

Salary

The salary for this DT ECT role will be paid in line with MPS1.
