The Year 2 Teacher will plan and deliver high-quality lessons that support phonics development, reading fluency and early writing progression. As a Year 2 Teacher, you will create differentiated tasks, lead small focus groups and provide targeted interventions. The Year 2 Teacher will be a key contributor to planning meetings, assessment moderation and KS1 development within Slough.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver engaging Year 2 lessons in line with the national curriculum
• Support pupils through phonics and guided reading sessions
• Track attainment and adapt teaching accordingly
• Collaborate with colleagues to ensure consistent learning opportunities
• Maintain positive communication with families in Slough

Requirements

• Qualified Teacher Status
• Proven KS1 classroom experience
• Confidence planning and delivering structured lessons
• Must be available for January 2026 start
