We are seeking a hardworking, friendly and proactive Caretaker to join a respected Independent School in Oxford. This full-time, permanent role begins January 2026, offering the opportunity to work in a beautiful, well-maintained setting with supportive leadership and excellent resources.

Responsibilities
• Opening and securing the school site each day
• Conducting general repairs, maintenance and DIY tasks
• Ensuring grounds, pathways and external areas are safe and tidy
• Monitoring heating, lighting, alarms and security systems
• Managing cleaning contractors and assisting with deliveries
• Responding to site emergencies calmly and efficiently
• Supporting events, assemblies and school-wide activities
• Maintaining stock levels and site equipment

Experience & Qualifications
• Previous caretaking, maintenance or facilities experience
• Strong practical skills across general repairs and basic trades
• Good communication, reliability and organisation
• Understanding of health & safety procedures
• Friendly, approachable and committed to high-quality site standards
