An Outstanding York secondary school is seeking an English Teacher from January 2026 to join its high-performing English faculty.

You will teach English across KS3–KS5, delivering a knowledge-rich curriculum that emphasises analytical writing, reading fluency and creative expression. The role includes supporting whole-school literacy initiatives and contributing to debate, creative writing and academic competitions.

Experience and Qualifications

• QTS desirable; strong English teaching experience essential.
• Degree in English Literature, Language or a related field.
• Demonstrated ability to stretch high-attaining students.
• Experience contributing to curriculum development preferred.
