KS1 Teacher - Stratford-upon-Avon
Are you an enthusiastic KS1 Teacher who enjoys teaching across Year 1 and Year 2 and securing strong foundations in reading, writing and number? A thriving primary in Stratford-upon-Avon is recruiting a committed KS1 Teacher to join the EYFS–KS1 phase from January 2026.
The KS1 Teacher will deliver systematic phonics, guided reading, number fluency sessions and targeted small-group interventions. The KS1 Teacher will work closely with early years colleagues to ensure smooth transition and continuity of learning. This KS1 Teacher role in Stratford-upon-Avon includes induction and planning time prior to January 2026, ensuring the KS1 Teacher is ready for the spring term.
Role responsibilities
- Plan and deliver sequenced KS1 lessons that develop phonics, early reading, handwriting and number fluency.
- Lead targeted small-group work and measure intervention impact to refine approaches as KS1 Teacher.
- Collaborate with teaching assistants to scaffold learning and adapt resources for a range of needs.
- Communicate progress to families, participate in moderation and support smooth transition between phases in Stratford-upon-Avon.
- Promote positive behaviour and create an inclusive classroom environment that supports learning.
Person specification
- Qualified teacher with proven KS1 experience and demonstrable impact in Year 1/Year 2 as a KS1 Teacher.
- Strong phonics knowledge, assessment literacy and effective classroom management techniques.
- Reflective, collaborative and committed to professional development within the Stratford-upon-Avon community.
- Available to start January 2026 and to attend induction and handover sessions before January 2026.
