SEN TA - Richmond
A popular primary school in Richmond is seeking a reliable and compassionate SEN TA to join its inclusion team from January 2026. This SEN TA role in Richmond will involve providing one-to-one support, running small-group interventions and helping pupils access the full curriculum. The successful SEN TA will receive a full induction and handover prior to January 2026 so the SEN TA can be classroom-ready for the spring term starting January 2026.

The appointed SEN TA will work with the SENCo and class teams to adapt resources, deliver evidence-based programmes and promote independence. The Richmond school values a practical, patient SEN TA who can combine classroom support with careful record-keeping and family liaison. This SEN TA will be part of a collaborative staff team focused on inclusion and measurable progress in Richmond.
Responsibilities
- Provide focused one-to-one and small-group support to help pupils access learning.
- Deliver planned interventions, monitor progress and feed back impact to the SENCo.
- Adapt and prepare resources, scaffold tasks and promote independence in the classroom.
- Support pupils’ social, emotional and sensory needs and implement agreed strategies.
- Maintain accurate records of progress, contribute to review meetings and liaise with families in Richmond.
Person specification
- Experience working with children with SEND and confidence delivering targeted programmes as a SEN TA.
- Patient, organised and able to use practical strategies to support learning and behaviour.
- Good communicator who can work closely with teachers, therapists and parents across Richmond.
- Able to start January 2026 and to attend induction and handover sessions before January 2026.
