Are you a patient, enthusiastic, and committed SEN Teaching Assistant looking to make a real impact on pupils with additional needs? A welcoming primary school in Hackney is seeking a dedicated SEN TA to join their team and support children with autism, communication needs and SEMH.

The School

This diverse, community-driven Hackney primary school is known for its strong inclusion culture and nurturing approach to learning. Staff work collaboratively to ensure every child receives the personalised support they need to achieve their full potential. Ongoing CPD, mentoring, and progression opportunities are provided for all staff.

SEN TA Requirements:

· Experience supporting pupils with SEN (ASD, ADHD, speech & language needs, SEMH)
· Calm, caring and resilient, with excellent communication skills
· Confident delivering 1:1 and small-group support
· Understanding of visual supports, sensory strategies and bespoke routines
· Enthusiastic about helping children develop socially, emotionally and academically

The Role:

· Provide 1:1 support tailored to a pupil’s EHCP targets
· Assist with communication development, emotional regulation and engagement
· Support classroom learning and help create an inclusive environment
· Work closely with teachers, the SENCO and external professionals
