A thriving 11–18 secondary school in Reading is seeking a PE ECT for a full-time position beginning January 2026. The school has an excellent reputation for ECT development and a very strong sporting culture.

School Information

This mixed secondary school, with 1,400 students, has excellent facilities including an Astro-turf, indoor courts, fitness suite, and large playing fields. Behaviour is excellent, and students are highly engaged in PE lessons and extracurricular sport.

ECTs are fully supported through a tailored induction plan, weekly CPD, a dedicated mentor, and reduced timetable allocations in the first term.

Experience and Qualifications

  • PGCE + QTS (or expected QTS)
  • Strong understanding of KS3/4 PE
  • Willingness to support clubs, fixtures, and enrichment

Salary

Paid on M1 – ECT scale.
