Year 5 Teacher - Camden
A successful primary school in Camden is seeking an enthusiastic Year 5 Teacher to take up post from January 2026. The Year 5 Teacher will plan coherent sequences across English, maths and foundation subjects, run targeted interventions and support transition into Year 6. This Year 5 Teacher post offers excellent CPD and leadership opportunities; induction and collaborative planning will take place before January 2026 so the Year 5 Teacher can begin the spring term prepared.

The Year 5 Teacher will apply assessment effectively to set next steps, develop pupils’ independence and support cross-curricular projects in Camden. We welcome Year 5 Teacher applicants who are reflective, adaptable and committed to achieving excellent outcomes.
Responsibilities
- Plan sequenced Year 5 lessons that develop knowledge, reasoning and curriculum application.
- Lead targeted small-group teaching, evaluate impact and refine approaches to accelerate progress.
- Participate in moderation, curriculum planning and whole-school initiatives across Camden.
- Maintain strong home–school communication and involve families in pupils’ learning.
- Support enrichment and transition activities that prepare pupils for Year 6.
Person specification
- Qualified teacher with proven Year 5 or KS2 experience and evidence of impact.
- Strong subject knowledge, excellent classroom presence and effective behaviour strategies.
- Collaborative, data-aware and ready to begin January 2026 in the Camden setting.
