Wayman Education is recruiting a SEN TA for a primary school in Lewisham. The SEN TA will support differentiated teaching, deliver targeted interventions, assist with access arrangements and help pupils develop independence and social competence. This SEN TA role begins January 2026, with induction and handover scheduled before January 2026 so the SEN TA can be fully prepared for the spring term.

- Contract: Permanent / Part-Time or Full-Time (school dependent)
Main duties
- Work with individuals and small groups to deliver planned interventions and monitor progress.
- Adapt and prepare resources to ensure access to the curriculum for pupils with SEND.
- Support pupils’ social and emotional development and apply agreed behaviour strategies.
- Liaise with the SENCo, teachers and external professionals to implement personalised plans across Lewisham.
- Keep accurate records of attainment and contribute to review meetings and transition planning.
Person specification
- Proven experience supporting pupils with special educational needs and familiarity with intervention approaches.
- Calm, patient and flexible with excellent communication skills for working with staff and families in Lewisham.
- Available to start January 2026 and to attend initial training and induction prior to January 2026.
