A supportive 11–16 secondary school in Birmingham is seeking a Teaching Assistant to join their dedicated student support team.
About the School
A caring school with Good pastoral care, strong SEN provision and a collaborative staff culture. Teaching Assistants work closely with teachers, SENCo, pastoral teams and small group support to enhance student learning across a range of subjects.
The Role
• Support students in mainstream lessons, small groups and targeted interventions
• Assist SEN pupils with literacy, numeracy, reading and classroom tasks
• Prepare teaching materials, resources and displays
• Monitor progress, behaviour and learning routines
• Contribute to pastoral support, communication with staff and supervision duties
Requirements
• Experience working with young people or within educational settings
• Patience, empathy and strong communication skills
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team
