ECT Science Teacher – Leeds

A Good mixed 11–18 secondary school in Leeds is seeking a passionate Science ECT to join their forward-thinking Science Faculty.

About the School

A supportive and well-equipped school with contemporary laboratories, specialist technicians and strong Science leadership. The school offers Biology, Chemistry and Physics up to A-Level and provides new teachers with a structured induction, weekly coaching and high-quality resources for practical and theory-based lessons.

The Role

• Teach Science across KS3–KS4 with mentoring and collaborative planning
• Deliver one specialism—Biology, Chemistry or Physics—with guided support
• Prepare practical activities safely with help from experienced technicians
• Attend weekly ECT sessions, CPD training and developmental observations
• Support Science clubs, STEM events and targeted revision

Requirements

• Completed training in Science (PGCE/ITT)
• Awareness of lab safety, CLEAPSS guidance and practical procedures
• Strong desire to develop teaching practice and subject expertise
