An Outstanding 11–18 girls’ school in Wandsworth is seeking a committed and enthusiastic English ECT to join their English Department this January.

About the School

Renowned for its exceptional academic standards, supportive leadership and strong pastoral systems, this school provides an ideal environment for Early Career Teachers. ECTs benefit from a structured induction, weekly mentor sessions and generous CPD opportunities.

About the English Department

The English Department is energetic, collaborative and highly successful, achieving consistently strong GCSE and A Level results. The team delivers a rich curriculum spanning classic literature, creative writing and contemporary texts, with strong emphasis on discussion, debate and analytical thinking.

The Role

• Teach English across KS3 and KS4 (KS5 opportunities as you progress)
• Deliver engaging lessons that build confidence in reading, writing and communication
• Contribute to reading clubs, creative writing groups and wider enrichment

Requirements

• PGCE/Teacher Training programme and QTS (or pending)
• Strong subject knowledge and passion for literature
• Commitment to pedagogical development and high-quality teaching
