English Teacher (ECT) – Northampton, Northamptonshire – January 2026

A successful and community-focused 11–18 secondary school in Northampton is looking to appoint a committed English ECT from January 2026. This is an excellent opportunity for a newly qualified teacher seeking a structured induction and an experienced team to learn from.

The Role

You’ll teach English across KS3–KS4, with the possibility of KS5 as confidence develops. The department uses a collaborative planning model where new teachers are fully supported with:

  • Shared schemes of work and model lessons
  • Weekly mentor meetings
  • Joint planning and marking
  • A reduced teaching timetable in Term 1
