Attendance Officer – Telford, Shropshire – January 2026
A successful 11–18 school in Telford is seeking a dedicated Attendance Officer to join its pastoral team from January 2026. This crucial role supports safeguarding, student engagement and whole-school wellbeing.
The Role
You will be responsible for monitoring and improving student attendance. Duties include:
- Managing daily attendance registers
- Making first-day absence calls and home communications
- Working with pastoral leaders to address emerging concerns
- Producing weekly, monthly and termly attendance reports
- Holding meetings with parents regarding absence patterns
- Supporting safeguarding referrals where appropriate
