The Opportunity & School Profile

A prominent independent school, known for its extensive rural estate, requires an enthusiastic and specialised Art Teacher to join its Creative Arts faculty. This part-time role is essential for fostering visual creativity and critical analysis, utilizing the College's excellent facilities to deliver a high-quality secondary curriculum.

Core Responsibilities & Teaching Scope

  • Visual Artist: Instructing Art across Key Stages 3, 4 (iGCSE), and 5 (A-Level), proportionate to the teaching fraction.
  • Portfolio Critic: Driving high attainment by guiding students through complex artistic projects and cultivating sophisticated portfolio presentation skills.
  • Gallery Guide: Organizing trips and contributing to the overall visual culture and exhibitions of the College.

Compensation & Application Details

  • Contract: Offered on a Part-Time (0.6 FTE), Permanent basis.
  • Essential Requirements: Relevant Degree in a Fine Art/Design discipline and QTS or equivalent experience. Experience teaching to A-Level is essential.
  • Support: Highly competitive pro-rata salary, access to excellent studio facilities, and potential accommodation/relocation support.
