An Outstanding secondary school in Sheffield is seeking a Maths ECT to join them on a full-time, permanent basis from January 2026. This is an exceptional opportunity for an Early Career Teacher looking for a strong induction programme, excellent mentoring, and the chance to teach Maths across Key Stages 3, 4, and 5.

This mixed secondary school, rated ‘Outstanding’ by Ofsted, educates around 1,350 students aged 11–18 and has built a strong reputation across South Yorkshire for its results, pastoral care, and supportive culture. With excellent transport links across Sheffield, Rotherham, and surrounding areas, the school is easily accessible.

The Maths department is well-resourced, collaborative, and led by an experienced team who have a strong track record of developing ECTs. Students consistently achieve above national averages at GCSE and A-Level, and uptake in A-Level Maths and Further Maths is high.

Experience and Qualifications

PGCE with QTS or equivalent (Maths specialism)

Strong subject knowledge in Mathematics

Ability to teach Maths across KS3–KS5

A passion for teaching and commitment to professional development

Salary

Paid to scale on a direct school contract.
