The Opportunity & School Profile

This Outstanding academy requires a proactive Business Studies ECT to join its successful department. The school needs an individual ready to inspire students with real-world economic and business concepts. This part-time role offers dedicated mentoring and a structured environment for an ECT to develop their teaching practice.

Core Responsibilities & Teaching Scope

  • Market Analyst: Instructing Business Studies across Key Stage 4 (GCSE), proportionate to the teaching fraction.
  • Enterprise Guide: Driving high engagement by focusing on practical case studies, marketing, and financial literacy.
  • Club Leader: Assisting with student enterprise projects and business enrichment activities.

Compensation & Benefits

  • Essential Requirements: Hold or be soon to obtain QTS. Relevant Degree in Business, Economics, or related field.
  • Salary: Excellent pro-rata salary paid on the national Teachers' Pay Scale (M/UPS), reflecting Inner London weighting.
  • Support: Robust ECT induction program and dedicated time for curriculum planning.
