Design & Technology Teacher – Hertfordshire
An ambitious and welcoming secondary school in Hertfordshire is seeking to appoint a dedicated Design & Technology Teacher for an immediate or January start. This is a full-time, permanent role within a stable and well-resourced DT department that places creativity, problem-solving and technical excellence at the centre of its curriculum.
About the Role
You will teach Design & Technology across KS3 and KS4, contributing to a broad curriculum that includes Product Design, Engineering, Graphics and Resistant Materials. The department prides itself on high-quality coursework outcomes and hands-on learning experiences that prepare students for both further study and practical career pathways.
You will be expected to:
Deliver engaging, safe and well-structured practical lessons
Prepare students successfully for GCSE DT coursework and examinations
Promote independent learning, innovation and design resilience
Maintain high standards of behaviour and workshop organisation
Contribute positively to department development and enrichment
