A forward-thinking primary school in Manchester is seeking an experienced and enthusiastic Year 4 Teacher to join the team from January 2026. The Year 4 Teacher will work closely with the phase leader and colleagues to moderate standards, lead interventions where required and support enrichment activities that enhance pupils’ cultural and academic experiences. Key responsibilities

• Plan and deliver sequenced Year 4 lessons that build knowledge, fluency and application.
• Use assessment effectively to identify next steps and deliver targeted small-group support.
• Work with colleagues to moderate outcomes and refine medium-term plans across KS2.
• Communicate progress clearly to parents and contribute to reporting and review cycles.
• Support whole-school enrichment and pastoral priorities.

Person specification

• Qualified teacher with recent KS2 experience and strong Year 4 classroom practice.
• Secure subject knowledge in English and mathematics and confident curriculum planning.
• Excellent classroom routines, strong organisation and effective communication skills.
• Collaborative, reflective and committed to the school community in Manchester.
• Available to start January 2026, with induction and planning ahead of January 2026.
