Design & Technology Teacher – Ipswich
A well-regarded secondary school in Ipswich is seeking a passionate and skilled Design & Technology Teacher to join their department from January. This is a permanent, full-time role in a school that strongly values creativity, critical thinking and hands-on learning across all faculty areas.
The Role
You will teach DT KS3–KS4, supporting students in a range of disciplines including:
Product Design
Resistant Materials
Engineering
CAD/CAM
Graphics and modelling
You will work alongside a highly collaborative DT team who regularly share resources, review curriculum pathways and embed new, innovative teaching practices as part of ongoing departmental improvement.
The department is exceptionally well equipped with:
Dedicated workshop areas
Industry-standard CAD software
3D printing and laser cutting equipment
Skilled technician support
Ample storage and project space
You will help guide students through iterative design processes, problem-solving tasks and high-quality practical outcomes.

Experience & Qualifications
DT degree
QTS or PGCE
Experience teaching KS3–KS4 DT
Strong workshop practice and design-based delivery
Salary
