Key responsibilities
- Plan and deliver sequenced Year 4 lessons that build knowledge and skills progressively.
- Use assessment information to adapt learning, close gaps and accelerate progress.
- Lead and monitor targeted group work to support pupils who need additional challenge or catch-up.
- Work with teaching assistants and subject leaders to refine medium-term plans for the year group.
- Communicate effectively with parents to share progress and next steps for learners in the class.
Person specification
- Qualified teacher with recent, successful experience in Key Stage 2 and Year 4 practice.
- Strong curriculum knowledge across English and mathematics and the ability to translate it into effective lessons.
- Excellent classroom management, organisational skills and a collaborative approach to improvement.
- A reflective practitioner keen to contribute to the Lambeth school community and to attend CPD.
- Available to start January 2026 and to participate in induction and planning activities before January 2026.
