Design & Technology ECT – Ambitious Secondary School in Reading

We are seeking a highly enthusiastic Design & Technology ECT to join an ambitious and well-resourced secondary school in Reading. This is a full-time, permanent role starting January 2026, offering a fantastic opportunity to begin your teaching career within a vibrant and innovative DT Department.

About the DT Department
The department features:
• CAD/CAM suites
• Workshops with 3D printers, laser cutters and CNC equipment
• Strong technician support
• Opportunities to contribute to engineering clubs, robotics teams and design competitions

About the Role
• Teaching DT across KS3–KS4
• Delivering practical and theory-based lessons
• Supporting students with project-based assessments
• Participating in ECT induction meetings, CPD and mentoring

Experience and Qualifications
• Degree in DT, Product Design or Engineering
• PGCE with QTS
• Enthusiasm for design, innovation and problem-solving

Salary
Paid to scale – MPS.
