A high-performing mixed grammar school in Kingston is seeking an organised and hands-on Design & Technology Technician to support the DT Department starting in January.

School Information

The school offers an excellent working environment, high-quality facilities, and a committed staff team. The DT Department plays a significant role in the curriculum, offering Product Design, Graphics, Resistant Materials, and Engineering.

Role Overview

Responsibilities include:
• Preparing tools, machinery, and materials for lessons
• Supporting teachers in practical sessions
• Ensuring machinery is maintained, serviced, and safe to use
• Managing stock, ordering materials, and maintaining workshops
• Demonstrating safe equipment use where required

Requirements

• Experience in a workshop or DT technician role preferred
• Knowledge of tools, machinery, and health & safety protocols
• Strong practical and organisational skills
• Ability to support both staff and students effectively
