The Opportunity & School Profile

This Outstanding school requires a versatile and highly organized technician to support two essential practical departments: Art & Design and Food Technology. The school needs a practical individual capable of managing resources and equipment across different media, from kilns to catering appliances. This role is crucial for ensuring safe, inspiring, and efficient practical lessons.

Core Responsibilities & Scope

  • Dual Specialist: Preparing materials, ingredients, and equipment for both Art and Food Technology practical lessons (KS3-KS5).
  • H&S Champion: Ensuring strict compliance with H&S regulations in both the workshops/studios and the food technology kitchens.
  • Equipment Guru: Routine checking and maintenance of specialist equipment, including ovens, kilns, and managing perishable and non-perishable stock.
