Design & Technology Teacher – Ipswich

A well-established Good-rated secondary school in Ipswich is seeking a dedicated Design & Technology Teacher to join their energetic DT department from January.

About the Role

You will teach DT across KS3–KS4, with opportunities to lead projects in Product Design, Resistant Materials, Graphics, or Engineering depending on your expertise. The department values hands-on practical learning, problem-solving, iterative design, and helping students take pride in their craft.

The workshops are fully equipped with:

  • Traditional tools

  • CAD/CAM software

  • 3D printers

  • Laser cutters

  • Technician support

Collaboration is strong within the department, and teachers share resources, refine project briefs, and support one another in maintaining high expectations.
