Science Teacher – Southend-on-Sea

A well-regarded and community-focused Good School in Southend-on-Sea is seeking a dedicated and motivated Science Teacher to join their thriving Science department from January. This full-time, permanent role is an excellent opportunity for either an experienced teacher or a confident ECT seeking a school with stability, structure, and real professional warmth.

The Role

You will teach Science across Key Stages 3 and 4, using well-organised schemes of learning that provide clarity, practical opportunities, and scaffolding for student progress. Lessons here are designed to inspire curiosity, build confidence with scientific concepts, and encourage students to ask questions, test assumptions, and engage deeply with the subject.

The Science department is collaborative, consistent, and committed to high standards of teaching. Teachers share planning, refine assessments collectively, and work closely with technicians to ensure practical lessons run smoothly. This is a department where you can bring your own teaching identity while still benefiting from structure and shared resources.
