Wayman Education is seeking a Music ECT Teacher for an Outstanding Secondary School in Norwich, starting January. This is a perfect opportunity for a passionate, creative early-career Music teacher to join a high-performing Performing Arts faculty that is known for excellence, innovation, and a supportive culture.

The Music department plays a central role in school life, with an extremely active extra-curricular programme including chamber choirs, jazz ensembles, orchestral groups, musical theatre productions, and termly performance events.

You will teach Music across KS3 and KS4, with opportunities to support or teach A-Level Music as you build confidence. The curriculum is well-sequenced, imaginative, and encourages analytical listening, practical performance, and creative composition. The school encourages innovative lesson approaches, and ECTs are supported to try new ideas without fear of failure.

Experience and Qualifications

  • Music-related Degree

  • PGCE or QTS

  • Confidence teaching KS3/4 Music

  • Desire to contribute to extra-curricular programme

Salary

Paid to scale MPS1–MPS2.
