We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Year 5 Teacher to join our inclusive and thriving Primary School in Newham. This permanent role, starting January 2026, provides a fantastic opportunity to inspire pupils as they prepare for the next stage of their learning journey.

  • Position: Year 5 Teacher
  • Start Date: January 2026
  • Contract Type: Permanent
  • Working Pattern: Full Time, Term Time Only
  • Salary: MPS/UPS (dependent on experience)
  • Suitable for: Experienced or Early Career Teachers (ECTs welcome)

About the Role

As a Year 5 Teacher, you will guide pupils through a key transition year in KS2, delivering creative, challenging lessons that build resilience, curiosity, and independence. You will be part of a supportive and collaborative team that values every child’s success.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan and deliver engaging lessons for Year 5 pupils
  • Support pupils to achieve high academic and personal standards
  • Create a stimulating and inclusive classroom culture
  • Work closely with colleagues and parents to support pupil progress
  • Contribute to wider school life and continuous improvement

What We’re Looking For

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Strong understanding of the KS2 curriculum
  • A reflective and ambitious practitioner
  • Commitment to fostering enthusiasm and curiosity in learning
