Responsibilities of a Year 3 Teacher

• Lead the pastoral care of pupils beginning their transition into Key Stage 2
• Plan and deliver engaging, well-structured lessons aligned with the lower KS2 curriculum
• Support pupils in strengthening literacy and numeracy foundations
• Introduce more complex concepts in maths, reading comprehension and independent writing
• Track pupil progress, identify learning needs and implement effective support strategies
• Communicate regularly with parents regarding academic and pastoral development
• Create a positive, encouraging classroom environment that promotes confidence and curiosity
