Responsibilities of a Year 3 Teacher
- Lead the pastoral care of pupils beginning their transition into Key Stage 2
- Plan and deliver engaging, well-structured lessons aligned with the lower KS2 curriculum
- Support pupils in strengthening literacy and numeracy foundations
- Introduce more complex concepts in maths, reading comprehension and independent writing
- Track pupil progress, identify learning needs and implement effective support strategies
- Communicate regularly with parents regarding academic and pastoral development
- Create a positive, encouraging classroom environment that promotes confidence and curiosity
