Responsibilities of a Year 4 Teacher

• Lead the pastoral care of pupils starting their journey through Key Stage 2
• Plan and deliver engaging, well-structured lessons aligned with the KS2 curriculum
• Focus on individual pupil progress, identifying strengths and supporting areas for development
• Strengthen mathematical understanding, introducing concepts such as fractions, statistics and geometry
• Develop pupils’ writing skills, supporting them to create structured narratives with clear settings, plots and characters
• Track pupil progress and provide feedback to parents when required
• Contribute to a positive, supportive and collaborative learning environment
