A prestigious 11–18 grammar school in Merton is seeking a reliable and hardworking Caretaker to join their site team from January.

School Information

The school is known for its academic excellence, strong pastoral care, and exceptionally well-maintained grounds. The site team plays an essential role in keeping the school safe, welcoming, and operational.

Role Overview

The Caretaker will support the Site Manager with maintenance, security, and day-to-day duties across the school site.

Responsibilities

• Carry out repairs, maintenance, and general caretaking tasks
• Assist with security, including opening/locking up the school
• Monitor the condition of the site and report issues promptly
• Support school events, including setting up rooms and equipment
• Ensure health & safety procedures are followed

Requirements

• Experience in a caretaking, site, or maintenance role
• Reliability, initiative, and strong work ethic
• Willingness to work flexibly around school requirements
