The Opportunity & Contract Profile

This highly successful Outstanding primary academy requires a reliable and hardworking Caretaker. The school needs a practical, hands-on individual to maintain the daily security, cleanliness, and functionality of the building. This is a crucial role supporting the smooth operation of a busy inner-city primary school.

Core Responsibilities & Duties Scope

  • Access Anchor: Key holder duties, managing alarm systems, and securely locking up and opening the premises for morning/evening use.
  • Maintenance Mechanic: Performing minor repairs (general maintenance and decorating), and managing external contractor access.
  • Presentation Partner: Ensuring all internal and external areas are kept clean, tidy, and suitable for the young children, including setting up resources for events.

Compensation & Benefits

  • Essential Requirements: Proven experience in a maintenance or site support role, practical skills, and strong commitment to H&S awareness.
  • Salary: Competitive salary, reflecting Inner London weighting (ranging from £27,000 – £32,000 Annually).
  • Support: Generous Local Government Pension Scheme (LGPS).
