School Caretaker – Ealing Outstanding Academy

  • Position: Caretaker (Full-Time).

  • Start Date: Permanent, full-time role commencing January 2026.

The Opportunity & Contract Profile

This Outstanding academy requires a highly reliable and practical individual to maintain the daily security, cleanliness, and functionality of the school premises. This is a vital, hands-on role supporting the daily operations of the academy.

Core Responsibilities & Duties Scope

  • Site Security: Key holder duties, managing alarm systems, and securely locking up and opening the premises.
  • Maintenance: Performing minor repairs (DIY, basic plumbing/electrics), and assisting the Site Manager with maintenance logs.
  • Presentation: Ensuring internal areas and external grounds are kept clean, tidy, and fit for use.

Compensation & Benefits

  • Essential Requirements: Proven experience in a maintenance or site support role and strong H&S awareness.
  • Salary: Competitive salary paid on the local government support staff scale.
  • Support: Generous Local Government Pension Scheme (LGPS) and support for vocational training.
