Chemistry Teacher – Sixth Form College in Swindon

We are seeking a knowledgeable and enthusiastic Chemistry Teacher to join a high-achieving Sixth Form College in Swindon from January 2026. This is a full-time, permanent position teaching motivated A-Level students in a highly academic environment.

About the College
This large and well-established sixth form is known for its outstanding A-Level outcomes, exceptional behaviour, and university-focused culture. Students are ambitious, mature and highly engaged in their learning. Staff benefit from excellent facilities, supportive leadership, and subject-specific CPD.

About the Science Faculty
The Chemistry Department boasts modern laboratories, digital modelling tools, well-qualified technicians and superb resources for advanced practical work. The faculty is collaborative and research-informed, with teachers sharing best practice regularly.

About the Role
• Teaching Chemistry at A-Level and potentially BTEC Applied Science
• Preparing students for university pathways including Medicine, Engineering and Natural Sciences
• Delivering high-quality practical and theoretical lessons
• Contributing to science enrichment such as Olympiads and research projects

Experience and Qualifications
• Chemistry degree or related subject
• PGCE with QTS
• Experienced A-Level teaching desirable but not essential

Salary
Paid to scale – MPS/UPS + Sixth Form Allowance
